After spending over four years at the Humane Society of Greater Miami, a 13-year-old dog named Mr. Jones has finally found his forever home. Mr. Jones, a playful and loving canine, had been waiting patiently for his chance at a loving family. During his stay, he had been adopted twice but was returned both times, leaving him heartbroken and still hoping for a permanent home.
For 1,739 days, Mr. Jones watched other dogs come and go, but he remained behind, dreaming of a place to call his own. His luck changed when Eric and Joey, a TikTok duo, took it upon themselves to promote his kind and gentle nature through their platform. They would take Mr. Jones to the beach and grooming sessions, but they couldn’t offer him a permanent residence.
However, their efforts helped bring attention to Mr. Jones’ plight, and finally, he was adopted by a loving family in Tampa, Florida. The emotional moment of Mr. Jones leaving the shelter was shared on TikTok, where Eric and Joey proudly announced the news on Valentine’s Day.
“Jones has been adopted, and there is no better way to share this news than on Valentine’s Day!” Eric and Joey said in their TikTok post. “We are so grateful he has a beautiful home now. A special thank you to the Humane Society Greater Miami for taking care of him for all this time. You are true superheroes.”
