A heartbroken New South Wales woman has pledged a $10,000 reward in a desperate bid to find her missing dog, who vanished over the Australia Day long weekend.
Abbey Livingston and her partner were returning from a camping trip in Mystery Bay, located on the NSW South Coast, when their dog Frankie disappeared on January 27. The couple had stopped on the Princes Highway, just south of Batemans Bay, to switch drivers when they noticed Frankie was no longer in the car.
Livingston believes Frankie, a timid five-year-old Pomeranian and Japanese Spitz cross, may have gotten out to relieve herself and wandered off into the nearby bushland. “She’s gone for a little wander in the bush and we haven’t been able to find her since,” Livingston said.
The dog was last seen near the Murramarang National Park, which is surrounded by dense bushland. The couple has been tirelessly searching for Frankie ever since. Livingston, who has spent every day in the area searching, says she’s only been home for one night since the incident.
The $10,000 reward is being funded entirely by Livingston and her partner, who are determined to bring Frankie home.
“She’s very timid, so if anyone sees her, please don’t chase her,” Livingston added.
Anyone with information about Frankie’s whereabouts is urged to contact the couple.
