The Richmond Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is excited to announce its “Mutt Madness” adoption event, where prospective dog owners can name their own adoption fee for adult dogs. The event will run from March 3 through March 9, 2025.
During this period, the Richmond SPCA is offering a unique opportunity for adopters to select their preferred adult dog and set the adoption fee. This initiative aims to help more dogs find their forever homes while allowing families to make the adoption process more accessible.
In addition to the event, the Richmond SPCA offers a match finder tool on their website to help potential adopters find the perfect pet, especially if they don’t see a dog they’re interested in at the Robins-Starr Humane Center.
For those looking to adopt outside of the “Mutt Madness” event, the adoption fee for adult dogs (over six months old) is $160, while puppies under six months are available for $200.
This event is a great opportunity for anyone interested in adopting a dog while contributing an adoption fee that fits their budget.
